Boycott Pfizer Inc: The world's largest research-based pharmaceutical company
Karlene Bradley

This may be old news to most of you, but I just found out when I got my last package of prescriptions from Canada. The pharmacy enclosed a notice about Pfizer drug company. It seems that Pfizer is refusing to sell any of their drugs to Canadian pharmacies that serve Americans so we will be forced to buy Pfizer products in the US at higher prices than offered in Canada. Pfizer reported adjusted profit of almost $4 BILLION in the final three months of 2003. What Pfizer is doing is legal, but I don't think it is ethical. It is based on pure greed.

My last package of meds was shipped from Canada April 18. I got a letter dated April 23 from the FDA at JFK airport in New York that my prescriptions had been detained. I've been calling and leaving messages but no one at the FDA bothers to return my calls. So, I've got $600 worth of prescriptions sitting on someone's desk in New York. The pharmacy is sending a duplicate shipment, hopefully it won't also get confiscated by the FDA. Our government in action.

The Canadian Smart Choice Pharmacy suggests that Americans boycott Pfizer OTC products and/or ask their doctors to prescribe drugs by companies other than Pfizer.
