Are you at risk for hereditary cancer?
Here are some signs for you and your family to look for:

Breast/Ovarian

• Early-age diagnosis of breast or ovarian cancer
• Two or more close relatives with cancer
• A relative with breast or ovarian cancer on both sides of the body
• Several individuals with an unusual type of cancer in more than one generation of your family
• A relative with unusual type of cancer such as pancreatic or male breast cancer

Colon Cancer

• Early-age diagnosis of colon cancer
• Two or more close relatives with cancer
• Several individuals with an unusual type of cancer in more than one generation of your family
• A relative with unusual type of cancer such as pancreatic or male breast cancer

Some families have high risk of cancer because of inherited cancer risk genes. Sometimes, cancer fear outweighs the reality of your cancer risk. Our genetic counselors will answer your questions on our hereditary cancer risk program. For out of state referrals, please see the NCI website for a genetic counselor in your area.
